KLAS is the only laboratory
dedicated to R&D in analytical sciences in Chinese high
education system. The mission of KLAS is to conduct, promote and
foster frontier
researches in the field of life science, environmental science
and new materials with
modern analytical technologies. Focusing on that, KLAS is staffed
by people with diverse
analytical expertise, among them ten persons hold PhDs and two
are academicians of the
Chinese Academy of Science. Also KLAS is equipped with state-of-the-art
instruments such
as: ICP/MS, LC/MS, GC/MS, ICP/AFS, ICP/AFS, AAS, FS, CE, HPLC,
etc.
In recent years KLAS has undertaken many national and local
research projects, among
them there are Priority Research Programs funded by the National
Natural Science
Foundation, ＇95 Key Projects and Pan Deng Projects funded by the
Ministry of Science and
Technology, Marine Projects funded by Chinese Marine 863 Program,
Key Projects funded by
the Ministry of Education, and other projects founded by the provincial
and local
sources. The total fund received by KLAS has reached RMB ￥22,346,000
now.
